The Barbara Rizzi HAN Autumn Winter 2025 collection is inspired by the deep Korean sentiment of unresolved resentment towards injustices, reflecting the beauty and strength of the Korean people.
This collection pays tribute to a culture that captivated Rizzi, expressing a feeling that, while softened, can never be extinguished. The predominant bordeaux color symbolizes the heart’s depth, complemented by strong shades like brass, marsala, and green, representing the designer’s essence.
Fabrics such as silk, brocade, and norigae prints evoke the beauty of Jinhae’s cherry blossoms, while the silhouettes reflect the elegance of Korean heritage. The tiger and peacock symbolize strength and beauty, reminiscent of a norigae talisman.
Inspiration came from the Hanbok, which my daughter and I wore, enchanted by its colors and regal shape. The “HAN” collection celebrates a love for the East and the magical bond that unites the designer with Korea.
