September 2025 - Maktub SS26 Runway
Barbara Rizzi’s new collection is a mystical journey inspired by the Arabic word Maktub “everything is written”; a concept drawn from Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist. The runway becomes a tale of destiny, magic, and the four elements: Earth, Air, Water, and Fire, reinterpreted through fluid silhouettes and light armors that exalt powerful femininity. Each color is a spell: white and silver like moonlight, gold as sacred power, sea green as intuition, red as passion, black as protection. Luxurious fabrics such as brocade, silk, chiffon, and organza evoke esoteric nobility and ethereal mystery, while crêpe and cady define refined draping. The fifth element, Freedom, surges as the ultimate expression of this collection, bold and magnetic like the women it celebrates. Timeless elegance blends with arcane allure: the witches are back, not as dark figures, but as luminous, self-confident icons of beauty and strength.
